How I work
In my practice, I support adolescents and adults with art-therapy sessions that seek to promote individual development and personal resources. No prior knowledge or artistic skill is required. I work with individuals and groups.
Art-therapy offers a safe space where challenging thoughts, feelings and inner images can become visible through creative expression with various materials (e.g., paintings, clay sculptures, soapstone carvings). Your individual needs, resources, and goals are central to this collaborative process.

Is Art-Therapy the right offer for you?
You don't need any prior experience with art or painting – just a willingness to engage in the process. Art-therapy may be right for you if you...
-
want to experience a space where you can freely express yourself with a wide variety of materials.
-
if you want to release stress and improve your individual stress-management.
-
seek accompanying support outside of or in addition to verbally oriented forms of therapy.
-
want to get to know yourself and your personal ressources better.

-
seek answers to why you keep finding yourself in similar dynamics.
"The creative process enables us to discover new resources which in turn can help to resolve mental barriers, find new viewpoints and perspectives, and promote healing processes (...)."
R. Rickert, 2015 (personal translation)
Processes and Results of Art-Therapy Work
My path towards Art-Therapy
I am Emanuel Führer, an art-therapist in Vienna. In many years of working with people, I have experienced how much change can occur when feelings and thoughts find safe expression, especially through creative media.
This attitude also shapes my work today: listening attentively without judgment, discovering resources together, and creating a space where development is possible at its own pace, with the help of creative materials.
